When I began to think about painting again, I was tossing around an idea I had for a full moon rising behind the wharf and Boardwalk. I was intrigued, but the image I had in my head was uninteresting. As I began to play with the idea in drawings, what eventually evolved is the image that you see here. I surprised myself when the solution was to paint a picture entitled “Full Moon,” in which one cannot see the moon at all. That amuses me.
